Stabilizing neighborhoods and revitalizing communities is hard work and requires a "all hands on deck" approach. Land banks are critically important partners, and sometimes leaders, in community development. This session will bring together leaders of smaller land Banks to discuss how they and other local partners, like housing nonprofits, Community Action Agencies, and Metropolitan Housing Authorities have utilized their land bank's legal powers, deep knowledge of property ownership and condition, and access to state resources. The session will also include some basics of community development, such as: establishing target areas, community engagement, and collaboration.
