First elected in 2012, Katherine Kelich is now serving her third term as Belmont County Treasurer. Mrs. Kelich is the current treasurer of the County Treasurer's Association of Ohio. In 2017, Kelich was elected chairperson of the Belmont County Land Reutilization Corporation (BCLRC). Since taking over as chairperson, the BCLRC has experienced remarkable success for a smaller-county land bank. From the targeted redevelopment of high drug activity areas, to public / private economic development projects, to partnerships with communities to prioritize the removal of old schools, lead abatement, and community redevelopment projects, Kelich has effectively managed BCLRC's limited financial resources to provide targeted benefits to all of Belmont County. Kelich also serves as Secretary of the Community Improvement Board and the President of Create Our Future, a non-profit organization, that supports economic and community development within Ohio’s Appalachian region. A life-long resident of Belmont County, she lives in St. Clairsville with her husband and daughter.
